Who We Are

Ashley E. Rundell brings deep experience in family law and criminal defense to her work, representing clients through some of the most personal and high-stakes moments of their lives. Her practice is grounded in thoughtful advocacy, careful preparation, and a clear understanding of how legal decisions affect people beyond the courtroom.

Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she received a Certification in Tax Law and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tax Review. During law school, she was an active member of the Mock Trial team and worked as a teaching assistant, building a strong foundation in advocacy and legal analysis. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Widener University, with minors in Accounting and Pre-Law.

Ashley’s path to family law began as a Certified Legal Intern with Neighborhood Legal Services, where she advocated for survivors of domestic violence in Protection from Abuse and custody matters. Since then, she has dedicated her career to family law, representing clients in divorce, custody, support, adoptions, guardianships, and name changes. Her experience also includes serving as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, as well as work with both the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.

Her work has been consistently recognized by peers and the legal community. Ashley has been named to Pennsylvania Super Lawyers: Rising Stars every year since 2023 and was selected for Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2025). In 2022, she was honored as one of Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania.

Ashley is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, and Butler County Bar Association, where she serves as an elected member of the Executive Committee.

At the core of Ashley’s practice is a people-first approach. She understands that clients facing family and criminal matters are often navigating profound stress and uncertainty. With empathy, clarity, and attention to detail, Ashley provides steady legal guidance while ensuring her clients feel supported at every stage of their case.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Ashley has called Pittsburgh home since 2017 and lives in the South Hills as an “honorary yinzer” with her fiancé Josh and two cats, Heinz and Winifred. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, and settling in with a good show.
